Deism posits that God created the universe and set it in motion, much like a watchmaker meticulously crafting a clock and then winding it up. Once the universe is set in motion, according to Deism, God does not actively interfere with its operations or intervene in human affairs. But this is not the God of the Bible. Our God of the Bible is a personal God who knows all things, and He is with His children always. He comforts us in the time of trouble. He never leaves nor forsakes us. Seek the Lord, and He will sustain those who trust in Him. We have His promise, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
